The LARQ is a drinking bottle, which uses UV-C LED light to clean itself and to purify filled water.
The company has developed and patented a special LED technology that uses 280 nanometers of UV light to purify the contents of the bottle or, if it is empty, to clean it.
The procedure, which is also used in this form by hospitals to disinfect surgical instruments, breaks up chemical compounds and kills 99.9775% of all bacteria or viruses after only one minute. After three minutes 99.9999% are already destroyed (study with E.Coli).
